As I say, the MikJournal is not just another weather blog. I try to include other areas besides our local regions and talk about other people who are also affected by the weather.
For example, I was researching some of the newsworthy weather events that occurred last month. I'll be sharing some these periodically during the month. Here was one that I found interesting:
In Australia, some sections of coastal Queensland have received over 48" of rain in the past few months. Although flooding had been an obvious issue, of even more pressing concern was the displacement of poisonous snakes and dangerous crocodiles that were floating around in the various cities.
Now, back to our national weather. Here's the latest national snow depth map. Take note of some of those cities in Texas:
I know, pretty depressing, isn't it?
Also, you might not want to get too stressed out over all the near-misses of these recent snow events. This can cause you to lose sleep and weaken your immunity. Speaking of your immunity, here's a look at the latest flu information. The only place on the map where nobody has got the flu is Guam. I decided to include the entire page with maps and detailed explanations.

Good stuff. Now, don't forget your juice and get plenty of rest. We got a busy week ahead of us. Take care.
